Booking PolicyEffective 5/1/08 Dub Media provides a free initial consultation. Which allows us to meet and greet prospective clients and to discuss any and all project details in-depth. Upon completion of this initial consultation a $45.00 deposit is required to secure the first hour of the minimum 2 hour session. This insures that all prospective clients show up in a timely manner for any booked session. The recording session begins at the time agreed upon and we require a 48-hour notice of any time and/or calendar changes. As long as the client shows up for a booked session on time the $45.00 goes towards the first hour. If a client fails to show up for a booked session the $45.00 is non-refundable. If a client is late, without notice, the clock starts running when the session is scheduled, and any remaining time in that first hour is left for the client. All sessions must be paid in full upon completion for that day, unless other arrangements have been made in writing with Dub Media management. All time is clearly invoiced, and clients will receive a receipt at the end of each session. Dub Media retains sole ownership of master storage media, such as hard drives, DVD-R, and CDRW until client has paid balance in full. You the client are responsible for your masters once balance has been paid in full. Dub Media has implemented a "carry away" data policy. This means that all session data must leave with the client. This insures our client’s data safety and integrity. We no longer have room to store data for all of our clients. At the end of each session, time will need to be spent burning data to disk or uploading all session data to either clients hard drive or jump drive. This time must be paid for and budgeted in by the client at the end of each session. The client must stop recording/mixing 10-15 minutes before session ends, or pay for any additional time needed to upload/burn data. Clients working for multiple or consecutive days must only take this into consideration on the final day of booked session. Clients are encouraged to bring in their own media, hard drive, or jump drive. Otherwise Dub Media will have storage options DVD, CD, or USB Jump drive’s available for purchase if media is needed. All data will be saved in Apple Logic Pro 8 project format. If a client needs a universal file for interchange with other systems you must specify that before the time of storage. Otherwise time can be booked to render all files into a universal format. . WAV or .OMF or. AIFF. Clients should roughly budget about 10 minutes per song for data conversion. |
